You make our Collections shine
The New Brunswick Public Libraries Foundation is committed to ensuring that our provincial public library service has the necessary funding to provide New Brunswickers with exemplary collections that meet the needs of our communities. Access to quality library collections is what allows children to develop a love of reading. It allows New Brunswickers of all ages to improve their literacy skills, and it allows adults to keep learning new skills and ideas throughout all the stages of their lives.
Library collections: more than just books!
Our donors provide funding for a quality collection of traditional print books, audiobooks, eBooks, large print books, DVDs, Blu-rays, music CDs, magazines and more! These collections are well-used by our communities – many library items are borrowed more than 50 times before they can be replaced. Our donors and funding partners help us keep our collections up-to-date.
Our bookplates
Have you ever noticed a Libraries Foundation bookplate at the front of your library book? Our bookplate lets you know that the item you are holding was made available through the generosity of our donors and partners. We also make special bookplates when someone makes a donation In Memory or In Honour of someone special. We don’t know exactly how many items on library shelves have our bookplate, but we know it’s a lot! Once you start noticing them it’s easy to see how crucial the support of our donors is to the vitality of our collections.
